We’re married!

On Sunday, my Dean and I got married in Beaufort, NC.  It’s a small coastal town with gorgeous bays, inlets, and beaches.  Both of our families attended and we had a wonderful dinner afterward.  Dean’s mom and nieces cooked everything.  They made a sweet potato casserole that was delicous.  I’ve got to get that recipe!

I’m going to try some chicken recipes next.  I’m thinking of chicken with mushroom sauce or maybe chicken piccata.  I can’t wait for my issue of Taste of Home cooking magazine to arrive.  I signed up for a $7/year subscription the other day through Facebook.  If you “like” Taste of Home on your Facebook account, click on their “news” section I think and you’ll see the $7 subscription offer.  That’s a great buy for that magazine.

The sweet potato casserole is a family recipe that I will share with Lisa around Thanksgiving or Christmas. Of course, there is the family way and then there is my way, which is the right way.
