I’ve always enjoyed eating at Steak Escape when I’m at the mall. Around here, they are only in food courts and the one near work has closed down and was replaced by another cheese steak type maker. One of sandwiches I would get on occasion was called the Hambrosia, which had ham as the meat ingredient. I don’t think it was one of the more popular options, because it is pretty low down on the menu now, but I enjoyed it. The other day, when I was fending for myself at home for lunch, I decided to make my own version of the Hambrosia. I just happened to have some Hillshire Farms brown sugar ham lunch meat and a can of Del Monte pineapple chunks, so I gave it a try. I liked it enough, that I decided to have it again today.
It is pretty straight forward. Take some thin sliced ham lunch meat (as much as you want for a sandwich, the more the better) and put it in a frying pan on medium-high heat. After the meat has cooked for about 15 – 20 seconds, take the spatula (preferably one that won’t ruin your frying pan) and chop the meat while it is frying. Fry the meat for about 1 minute more and flip it to make sure both sides start to brown. Add some pineapple chunks and after 20 seconds, chop up the pineapple chunks with the spatula. The reason that you wait is, that when the meat or pineapples start cooking, they fall apart a lot easier. After cooking for another minute or until satisfied that the meat is warm and the pineapple juices have spread around, scoop out the meat and pineapple mixture onto prepared bread.

Obviously, you can make your sandwich your way.
